Barry & Hazel Harrison
Our long relationship with the American Cocker Spaniel began Christmas 1975 when Hazel received a buff boy as a present
- Sundust Golden Rendezvous (aka Montague). Hazel was at the time living in Jersey, one of the British Channel Islands.
Monty was successfully shown in the Channel Islands and south of England. We have owned and been active in the
breed ever since.
We lived in Kent, England prior to moving to Michigan, USA in 2004 along with all of our ten 4-legged Ectot
Gang. During our time in Kent we were involved with the Home Counties American Cocker Club - Hazel being Chair
and Barry Secretary. Hazel also judged the breed at Open Shows and has judged at a Specialty Show since we
have been in Michigan.
We breed occasionally - our priorities being health and temperament. We have - Black, Black & Tan, Buffs
(all shades) and Chocolate.
Our affix (kennel name) is derived from a small town in Normandy and is pronounced "Eck - Toe". Some
of our dogs also have the word Detling in their kennel names - this is the village where we lived in the UK.
